Welcome Reception Dinner
We’re back on the beautiful island of Phuket, thanks to the 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱’𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 @hugthailand. We’re here to attend #gstc2026 fabulous gala evening.
What an opening night! The entertainment was varied from Thai dancers & a Khon masked performance to ballet & a choir who’d been learning a variety of catchy songs from YMCA and more.
The delicious food was fabulous as would be expected from the renowned Blue Elephant restaurant.
I also loved exploring the surroundings stalls, bringing their colour and passion for stainable produce from perfumes to @livelikealocal.phuketinspire’s stunning bags made from recycled product from the sea.
It was great to gather on the lawns of the famous @blueelephant restaurant for this official welcome.
I can already tell it’s going to be a high energy event, I’ve been meeting interesting and committed leaders engaged in making sustainability at the forefront of their business decisions.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Melbourne for donkey’s years and never made it to the 12 Apostles!
And we nearly didn’t make it this week either,
but more of this later!
The 12 Apostles are now a collection of 7 limestone stacks, a 4 hour drive from Melbourne. It’s an iconic postcard view, and I feel like I’m the only person that had never seen them!
We set off along the Great Ocean Road stopping off along the way to enjoy the sights only to find that darkness struck and we missed them 😮Bummer!!
The next morning it was rainy and misty, but the travel Gods looked down on us and a patch of blue sky (just enough to 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘴 – if you know that expression? ) openned up and it was just beautiful!
We had the viewing platform all to ourselves – it was very special moment! 🎶and I know this much is true I feel blessed to have seen them! ❤️
What do you have in your travel bucket list?
Have a great week everyone!

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭!
Welcome to Alba Hot Springs! This week I was invited to join Nadine @redbagwilltravel thanks to @seniorsinmelbourne to take a wander through the peaceful, other worldly surrounds for an 𝘰𝘩 𝘴𝘰 relaxing time!
As soon as those bathrobes are on, you find yourself ready to be immersed in that soothing experience that geothermal pools offer!
It’s a dreamy sweet escape, an easy drive just over an hour from Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.
I’ll long time remember this setting for its fine architecture, botanical setting, lovely dining alongside the plethora of choices for indoor, outdoor and open air pools.
It’s a wonderful thing, as you sink into their geothermal pools the rest of the world disappears – it’s a magic disconnect and much needed in my week!
Thank you @albathermalsprings for a beautiful day!
Have you ever tried a geothermal pool experience? It’s highly recommended!

⏰But there’s always a bright side! Our clocks changed and whilst winter days are defo creeping on in, happiness is not waiting so long in the day for a beautiful sunset! 🌅
We’re off for a sunset wander to London Bridge lookout at Portsea ocean beach! Love how so many places here have European & UK connections… 🇦🇺🤍🇬🇧
As the sun set on our glorious day here in Australia we were thinking of our family across the globe in London, UK who have a massive week ahead of hospital appointments. ❤️🩹

Have you got 30 secs to take a wander around Fern cottage with me?!
This charming stay ticked so many boxes for our family Easter getaway.

It’s that time of year where every last glow of sunshine is welcomed as we firmly find ourselves waking to autumnal days! 🍂☀️
⏰ It’s always sad when we kiss goodbye to that extra hour of evening sunlight – our daylight saving officially ends today (Easter Sunday).
We’re off wandering the beaches of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula… we’ve got slow mornings, sea air, and sunsets that bring a big grin to your face.
First stop: an Easter walk wander along the shores of Rye — the front beach for calm waters and pastel skies, and the back beach for crashing waves and that instant holiday exhale.
If you’re looking for an easy weekend escape from Melbourne… this is it.
📍 Save this for your next long weekend

We have taken a trip down memory lane to the Mornington Peninsula.
For years we had a beach house here, but that is long gone when overseas living meant we couldn’t use it often enough … of course we are spending the whole weekend regretting that decision to sell – well I am!
On the peninsula you have the choice of the wild ocean beaches or the calmer bay beaches – which would you prefer ?
Surf beach or calm swimming beach?
We always loved the surf beaches! 🏄♀️
Hope you are having a lovely weekend where ever you are in the world!

We’re joining the 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘀 from Melbourne to head to the beach. I wanted to put this into the global context & nationwide concerns due to the Iran war…
This week we joined Australians to watch our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in a rare national address. 🇦🇺
He urged citizens to proceed with their Easter holiday plans and go about “business as usual,” so we are. 🌏
We are the fortunate ones with a local roadtrip booked we can carry on with no change of plans. My heart goes out to all those impacted in so many ways less fortunate than ourselves. 🫶
Public transport in Melbourne and across Victoria is currently FREE for the entire month of April 2026. 🚊🚉🚋
We also have much needed fuel relief fuel at around 30c a litre cheaper than it was a few days ago – average cost in Melbourne is now $2.05. ⛽️🚘

I always love a Melbourne blogging weekend away, this time we’re off to explore regional Victoria.
We took a girls roadtrip to Kinglake, it’s a perfect weekend wander from Melbourne. The Kinglake National Park has lovely walks, and Kinglake offers good food, a great pub, weekend market and a moving museum.
