about me

Hi, I’m Wren. I’m the content creator, blogger and chief explorer behind Little Wandering Wren’s award-winning Bangkok travel blog.
I have always loved to travel, but not all those who wander are lost and all that jazz! The pandemic gave me the pause to get to know Thailand where I love to share a light-hearted birds-eye view of the world.
I hope these posts will be of interest whether you are planning a trip here or just want to get to know Thailand a little more intimately from the comfort of your own screen.

My Worldwide Wanderings

My wanderings started at an early age. Our first overseas travel was at three years old when my family was posted to Singapore from the UK. I’m a British and Australian dual national with stints in Brussels and Hong Kong. This blog started as Aussie Wandering Wren nearly ten years ago, but now I’m a Thailand Blogger…

What do they say? I haven’t been everywhere yet but it’s on my list!

My Thailand Wanderings

202O saw me pandemic based in Bangkok. Other than a short period in lockdown, I was extremely fortunate to be able to freely enjoy domestic travel.

I have travelled to Koh Samui, Nan, Surat Thani, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Koh Phi Phi, Hua Hin Kanchanaburi, Pattaya, Koh Yai Noi, Kho Phangnan, Phuket, Nong Khai, Sukhothai, Ayutthaya… and to be continued!

Phuket Life in 2021

We came to Phuket for Christmas with a couple of frocks and Mr Wren’s golf clubs, and well guess what we are still here. I am the biggest Phuket fan out there – having previously thought Phuket was best left for the tourists!

A staycation Queen

In 2020 I started staycationing in Thailand. This gave us the opportunity to escape our Bangkok apartment and see Thailand. It was a way of putting back into the travel and hospitality industry that led me to become called the Staycation Queen of Thailand. Please check out my Instagram @Littlewanderingwren  and YouTube channel as I head towards my 170th Thailand staycation.

Where you can find my writing

In 2021 my writing continues to be featured in a wide range of publications. I am a regular writer for Expat Life in Thailand and The Big Chilli Magazine and can be found in newsletters of other expat and beyond communities, such as the British Women’s Group and the Thai Textile Society. I am thrilled to be invited to attend familiarisation and media trips with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to give an English speaking voice to those in need.

I pride myself on feeling equally at home in the paddy fields with Thailand Village Academy or in a five-star luxury resort. One thing is for certain there is never a dull moment around here and I am delighted to have you along with me.

Here we go, here we go, here we go-oh!
