Summer loving had me a blast, oh yeah

Summer loving happened so fast,

River banks in Oxford
There’s no doubt about it, I’m a very lucky Wren.
For the last two years, I’ve had two summers.
Mr Blathwaytes garden at Durham, near Bath in Gloucestershire
Chasing summer is something we really rather like.
It’s in the retirement plan:
Australian summer followed by European summer!
How good does that sound?
Hyde Park Gardens, London
This year’s trip was totally unexpected,
I have a ticket booked to return to visit family and friends in the autumn.
When Mr Wren’s impromptu business trip coincided exactly
with a dream itinerary of Hong Kong, Paris and London
arriving in England for the summer.
Of course, I said ‘can I come too?’
Regents Park, London
Hearing the weather is cold and miserable back home in Melbourne
just adds to the warmth of being in a European summer.
We are an outdoors family; dog walks at the beach, football, tennis
We live, breath and feel the weather.
It is lovely to escape!
Poppies Harbourside Bristol, Avon
Not that the weather’s been brilliant here
But then we are talking an English Summer
you wouldn’t dream of going out without a brolly!
